The Royal Gazette officially published the National Savings Fund Act (No. 2) B.E. 2568 on November 7, 2025, bringing significant changes, including the introduction of a "Retirement Lottery" mechanism.

This new Act aims to ensure the efficient management of the Fund's assets and the return of old-age savings to savers and their heirs.

  • For Savers 60+: If over 60, you can purchase GSB lottery tickets and receive the money back after 5 years from the date of the first purchase. Each purchase requires a 5-year saving period.
  • Death: All savings are paid to the declared recipient or, if none, to the heirs.
  • Disability: A saver, if certified as disabled by a government-certified physician, can request to receive all or part of their savings (up to 3 requests).
  • Loss of Thai Nationality: The saver can request a full refund of all savings, but can no longer purchase lottery tickets.
