Retail eCom Business Analyst

Digital role offers a unique opportunity to engage with several existing and planned, owner-facing programmes, as our roadmap evolves. Playing an integral role in understanding, defining and challenging business needs, the ideal candidate will bring understanding of commercial operations combined with digital technologies and processes. They will be used to providing support throughout the delivery lifecycle, from initial requirements build through to business readiness and transition.

Responsibilities for the Retail eCom Business Analyst (HYBRIS, AEM, SAP)

  • You will capture & log headline requirements and scope from the business
  • Understand & document as-is process, new needs and problem/s to be solved
  • Work with key contributors (business SMEs, product owners) to analyse the baseline business requirement set
  • Organise and manage requirements into a structured form for further assessment
  • Contribute to business benefit validation, project sizing and impact assessment
  • Research and resolve queries, gaps and uncertainty in requirements.
  • Identify, through analysis, where scope challenge may exist/needs to be addressed
  • Establish all requirements across functional capability, user-experience, operational activities and processes, data need and non-functional specifications
  • Define and document target, to-be processed to be supported by future solution
  • Script, organise and structure requirements relative to end-users, including business stakeholders, technical delivery team and testing teams
  • Confirm and verify business requirements, including sign off with business SMEs
  • Confirm understanding of requirements with technical teams and validate solution options
  • Clearly define and detail functional and operational requirements to effectively support technical decisioning, solution definition and detailed design
  • Multi-modal output to support both waterfall and agile type delivery activities
  • To-be process documentation to facilitate business readiness, change planning and operational training activities required for solution launch

Skills of the Retail eCom Business Analyst (HYBRIS, AEM, SAP)

  • Experience in business analysis for at least one of the following areas: e-commerce, call centre applications, CRM, digital marketing, social media, multi-channel campaign management, PIM and order management
  • Excellent capability across MS Excel, Visio and Powerpoint, plus core collaboration tools such as Jira, MS TFS, Sharepoint etc
  • Desirable
  • Experience of working in matrix structures, with cross functional teams and operating under both line reporting and project task managers
  • Experience of working in agile / scrum framework environments
  • Good knowledge of AEM, Hybris and SAP
