Job Description:
- Applies DevOps knowledge and experience under a moderate level of guidance and direction to automate and/or operate the end-to-end process from application build to application deployment and support, including moderately complex aspects of the continuous integration, continuous delivery and issue resolution processes.
- Participates on project teams between operations and software engineering, enabling and supporting rapid build, deploy, and operation of various systems & infrastructure components.
- Installs, creates, and enhances moderately complex automation tools that support the development and operations lifecycles. Utilizes full stack development and operation skills to enable them to understand, maintain and operate the application architecture.
- Works flexible hours.
- Performs infrastructure rollout and maintenance activities as part of an out of hours maintenance schedule.
- Provides Level 2 support as part of a support roster.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information System or related field.
- Excellent programming, analytical, reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Project management and an excellent understanding of modern Software
- Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
- A good command of spoken and written English.
- 2+ years of broad infrastructure, scripting and JEE / n-tier application infrastructure experience.
- AWS Cloud Hosting – Around 5 Years in Cloud Ops is highly recommended.
- AWS certification desirable.
- Familiarity with AWS Well Architected Security Pillar desirable.
- DevOps/ CICD.
- Automation scripting: E.g., Terraform, Jenkins, Shell, Groovy etc.
- Django, Ansible and Python skills are a bonus.
- Oracle Database skills. 3 years preferred.
- JBoss, Tomcat experience a plus.
- Understanding of SSL, Certificates, SAML a plus.
- Linux and Windows OS.
- Version control repositories and tools experience, GIT.
- Experience with ITSM and Project tracking tools beneficial, e.g. Service Now, JIRA .
- An aptitude to problem solve and take on new skills and technologies.
- Good client facing and communication skills.
- A team player.
