Technical Consultant – Retail Professional

Key Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Deliver solutions as part of an integrated Consulting Team
  • Must pay close attention to details and deadlines and provide timely status and escalations
  • Must be successful at working at customer site and in a team environment
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems using sound judgment and experience
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with TCP/IP networking and Window Operating Systems as part of the client implementation
  • Will review and analyze logs for issue triage and ticket creation
  • Must ensure the solution is configured appropriately to carry out the client’s business functions
  • Implement solutions for our customers on time, within budget and at a high quality
  • Become a trusted advisor to our customers ensuring our customers experience high business value from products
  • Serve as a customer advocate within the rest of the organization
  • Will become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an proprietary solution suite
  • Provide training and coaching on the use and operation of solutions


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in providing Client Facing Professional Services, preferably in the Retail industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems including Windows10/Server/POS Ready
  • Experience troubleshooting TCP/IP network issues including gateways/firewalls/DNS issues
  • General knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • General knowledge of XML
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Clear and concise written and verbal skills
  • Up to 25% travel required


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science and/or related field preferred
  • General knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
  • Experience working in a project – oriented environment
  • Experience in the Retail industry
  • Experience in the Convenience S tore industry
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale technology
