Our client is the world leader automotive manufacturing, now is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to perform Supplier Quality Management activities and provide quality support, establishing Quality Agreements with suppliers, conducting supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with the standards, ensuring the components and products purchased from suppliers meet engineering requirements
Reports to: the Quality Manager
Location: Rayong
Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage Supplier Development strategies and performance to ensure flawless launches of new programs include leading
- APQP process as part of new product launches, technical reviews, and develop supplier capabilities to meet requirements.
- To support the NPI process, global NPI SQE processing supplier quality requirements for local and oversea suppliers.
- Lead supplier status monitoring, reporting, continuous improvement, local and oversea supplier audits and supporting the supplier approval process.
- Maintain stable supplier Quality after PPAPed include components traceability
- Monitoring information related to supplier production capacity (SPC, raw material stability) and the impact on production processes
- Ensure company standards are adhered to, and organizational goals for achieving “zero defect” performance are met without the need for unplanned support.
- Conducting Supplier Quality training at the suppliers and drive performance improvements at the supplier to meet established objectives.
- Coordinate with Regional or global team in related with supplier quality issue.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial manufacturing or relevant fields.
- More than 5 years working experience of STA/SQE/SDE position in automotive industry.
- Well-versed in the supplier quality process, supplier management and project management.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 19011, VDA 6.5, and VDA 6.3 standards.
- Knowledge of quality management tools (SPC, FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, etc.).
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving incl. 8D, A3, 5WHY, Fish Bone.
- Proficient in the parts production process.
- Acquainted with various quality management tools.
- Strong language expression and effective teamwork, coupled with a high sense of responsibility.
- Ability to travel to oversea countries base on supplier improvement as assigned.
