Senior Service Manager

Job Summary

The Senior Service Manager – Engineering is primarily responsible for leading and driving the overall performance and productivity of the engineering department as a profit center, while maintaining a good reputation, monitoring service contracts renewals and sustaining relationships with key bio-medical managers.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the overall performance and productivity of the engineering department as a profit center and maintain a good reputation
  • Increase team competency by assessing, identifying, and fulfilling training and re-training needs for each individual engineer
  • Drive and maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency in turnaround time
  • Ensure all pre-delivery and commissioning works are carried out in an efficient and timely manner
  • Monitor service contracts renewals
  • Review current install base with service contracts and seek assistance from principals to avoid part delays and improve turnaround time
  • Identify and mitigate risk factors, design preventive and corrective measures, and ensure compliance to these measures
  • Ensure that all test tools are sent for annual calibration, or as per the frequency recommended by the manufacturer
  • Work closely with principals to seek solutions and establish agreements on warranty claim control processes
  • Maintain relationships with key bio-medical managers
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions with key contract customers to ensure continuity of services
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering managers in reviewing and modifying approach to managing key principals and customers

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Medical, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent,
  • Master’s Degree in Business & Technology preferred
  • Extensive experience in the medical equipment industry
  • Experience in Medical equipment servicing in hospitals a must
  • Good experience in Project Management
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and providing solutions
  • Good command of English
