Sales Engineer

The company is a privately owned British company that manufactures and supplies knitted wire mesh products for a variety of knit mesh applications. Their products are used in many industries including Automotive. Examples of its use include filtration, liner seals and hose braids as well as catalytic applications. The company already has a number of customers that use its products in Thailand, but is looking to expand their business further. They are currently in the process of registering a company in Thailand and plan eventually to establish some manufacturing in Thailand.

The Job

  • Prospect and contact businesses in the automotive sector
  • Work with prospective customers’ technical teams to propose appropriate company product applications
  • Liaison with other company groups to develop potential solutions for customers
  • Handle existing company customer relationships and work on expanding sales into these companies.
  • Report sales activities back to Global Sales Manager in the UK

The Candidate

  • An Engineering or related degree or certification is an advantage
    An understanding of how to interpret 2D & 3D CAD drawings required
  • Previous sales experience selling to automotive Tier 1, 2 or 3 suppliers an advantage
  • Able to work with minimal supervision is essential
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in Thai, both speaking and in writing.
  • Reasonable English is required to communicate with other groups in the company
  • A full drivers license required.
  • The successful candidate will have to work from a home office initially, however the company will support all business related expenses.
  • Full training will be given on the selling of company solutions.
