Procurement Specialist (Indirect Materials)

Our client, a global leader in automotive parts manufacturing, is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Rayong. In this role, you’ll be a key player in the end-to-end procurement strategy for indirect materials and non-production purchasing. You will take ownership of all sourcing activities, contract negotiations, and supplier management to ensure operational excellence and achieve cost savings.

Reports to: Regional Supply Chain Manager
Salary: ฿60,000 – ฿80,000

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage procurement strategies for indirect materials that support overall business goals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with global and regional teams and senior leadership for plant procurement planning and budgeting.
• Conduct sourcing and evaluate suppliers based on quality and reliability to create sourcing plans that boost cost-efficiency and improve performance.
• Lead the RFQ/RFP process and contract negotiations to optimize value and mitigate risk.
• Analyze cost structures and use detailed spend analysis to develop cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage supplier relationships and serve as the main point of contact for commercial discussions.
• Ensure that all procurement activities follow company standards, policies, and systems.
• Guide stakeholders on procurement best practices and compliance.
• Streamline processes and identify effective sourcing alternatives through benchmarking, competitive bids, and resource reallocation.
• Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency within the sourcing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in indirect/non-production procurement or purchasing.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role, managing plant supplies, MRO, consumables, tooling, equipment, machinery, and transportation.
• Strong understanding of the technical and engineering aspects of multinational industrial or automotive manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with excellent team-building skills to collaborate with suppliers, peers, and other departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, other MS Office tools, and ERP systems like SAP.
  Good command of both spoken and written English.
