ESL Teacher

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate ESL Teacher to join our educational institution in Thailand. As an ESL Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering English language lessons to students, helping them develop proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities:

1. Lesson Planning and Delivery:

   • Plan and prepare engaging and interactive English lessons that align with the curriculum and learning objectives.
   • Deliver lessons using a variety of teaching methods and techniques to cater to different learning styles.
   • Facilitate class discussions, activities, and projects to promote active student participation.
   • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their English language skills.

2. Student Assessment and Progress:

   • Evaluate students’ language proficiency and track their progress through regular assessments and assignments.
   • Identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to address individual learning needs.
   • Provide regular feedback to students and parents/guardians on their performance and learning outcomes.

3. Classroom Management:

   • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students’ confidence and motivation.
   • Manage classroom behavior effectively and enforce discipline when necessary.
   • Create a safe and respectful classroom environment that encourages cultural sensitivity and understanding.

4. Professional Development:

   • Stay updated with current trends and methodologies in ESL teaching through continuous professional development.
   • Participate in workshops, training programs, and peer collaborations to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
   • Contribute to curriculum development and improvement initiatives within the institution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification is preferred.
• Proven experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to diverse student populations.
• Excellent command of the English language, with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students, with the ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
• Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching contexts and student needs.
• Cultural sensitivity and understanding of Thai educational practices is a plus.
