Commercial Controller (FP&A/FMCG)

Our client is a well-known multinational company specializing in FMCG, Retail, Skincare, and Luxury products. They are seeking a Commercial Finance Controller to oversee Financial Planning & Analysis, act as a Finance Business Partner, and develop pricing strategies for brand commercial control. This role involves serving as a strategic advisor to Brand/Business Unit Heads, preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing financial insights to foster sustainable growth, and upholding internal controls.

Location: Hybrid (Bangkok/Work from Home)

Responsibilities:

• Lead commercial controlling and provide advice, developing and analyzing monthly P&L reports on brand performance as a key financial and business control.
• Engage in business planning and optimization, preparing customer and brand budgets, financial forecasts, and monitoring gross-to-net tracking throughout the month.
• Act as a Business Partner to commercial/business unit teams, leveraging product knowledge and market & financial acumen to enhance and scrutinize the business’s overall effectiveness.
• Lead all commercial projects and spearhead financial initiatives related to commercial and category aspects, including in-month gross-to-net tracking.
• Develop reporting tools to facilitate effective business decisions, provide sales and marketing cost support to the commercial team, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze financial results by fully utilizing financial systems, offering actionable insights into sales growth, gross margin, customer trade margin, and sell-in/out data.
• Provide finance training and development for the commercial team.
• Manage internal controls comprehensively, from deal-to-cash, including balance sheet oversight.

Qualifications:

• Must have full working rights for Thailand and hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in related roles such as Commercial Control, Business Control, Finance Business Partnering,
• Financial Planning and Analysis, or Brand Controlling. Experience in audit firms is advantageous.
• Experience in reporting within a complex and dynamic organization, particularly in Consumer Products – FMCG, Retail, Beauty Chain, E-commerce, etc.
• A strong grasp of accounting principles under IFRS and cost accounting is essential.
• Proficient in financial analysis, including sales forecasting, pricing, and capital investments.
• Proficient in project management and presentation. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Access,
• PowerPoint, and Word are required.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
