Role Overview
Our client, a global leader in automotive part manufacturing, is seeking a strategic Assistant BOI Manager to lead their BOI function. You will oversee all activities related to BOI privileges, Import/Export operations, and compliance. This role is critical in maximizing incentives and ensuring seamless liaison with government authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Privilege Management: Lead the end-to-end application process for BOI privileges, including investment plans and machinery lists.
- Strategic Advisory: Monitor global BOI policy changes and advise headquarters on action plans; initiate new projects to align with production capacity.
- Operations & Compliance: Oversee HS code classifications, stock approvals, and maximum stock limit management.
- Logistics Coordination: Review commercial invoices/packing lists and manage shipment releases via the BOI e-service platform.
- Reporting: Prepare annual operation reports and manage specialized cases (NG goods, scrap, or obsolete inventory).
- Stakeholder Relations: Partner with customs brokers and government officials to ensure 100% regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in BOI Operations and Customs. Experience managing hearings or defense cases in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of BOI regulations, incentives, and Import/Export procedures.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Language: Proficient in English.
