Location: Bangkok, Thailand (Work from Home with travel)

Key Responsibilities

As our Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting to account care. Your primary duties will include:

  • Territory & Account Management: Define and execute sales plans for your assigned territory and accounts, consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Sales Pipeline Development: Proactively prospect, qualify, and manage new sales opportunities, moving multiple transactions through the sales pipeline simultaneously.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Nurture and expand relationships with customers of all sizes, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • You’ll utilize our ERP system to manage and track customer and transactional information.
  • Technical Sales & Support: Drive technical discussions and provide general support to prospective customers, leveraging your expertise in our product range.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with internal teams, including Application Engineering, Customer Service, MP&L, and Finance, throughout the sales cycle.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular and accurate reporting on your sales pipeline and forecasts.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
  • Strategic Contribution: Actively participate in team building, company growth activities, strategy setting, sales training, and marketing efforts.
  • Budget & Forecast Contribution: Play a strong role in the annual budget and quarterly forecast process for your assigned areas.
  • Travel: Travel extensively to customer locations within your assigned area to support sales efforts.

Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Education: A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar relevant field.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of industrial relevant experience as a technical sales expert is a must.
  • Strong focus on the INDUSTRY business, with specific experience in Gearbox sales highly preferred.
  • Industrial knowledge in sectors like Sugar, Cement, or other relevant heavy industries is preferred.
  • Experience in Heavy Industrial and Bulk Materials handling will be an added advantage.
  • Management Skills: Proven ability to manage effectively within an international and diverse team environment.
  • Strategic Mindset: Good marketing and sales strategy skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal (presentation) and written communication skills in both English and Thai languages.
  • Work Ethic: Meticulous, detail-oriented, highly adaptive, and capable of functioning effectively in a dynamic MNC environment.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Office, SalesForce, and other relevant applications.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to undertake extensive travel within the assigned area.
