Position Summary
As an Area Sales Manager (Thailand), you will play a pivotal role in driving sales of our industrial product range within a specified geographic territory. Your responsibilities will include prospecting, lead management, technical selection, and account care. This is a quota-carrying position that requires a strong focus on exceeding sales objectives and contributing to the overall success of our sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive territory/account sales plans to achieve and surpass sales goals (quotas).
  • Actively prospect for new sales opportunities and manage a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline.
  • Utilize our ERP system to effectively manage and track customer and transactional information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Application Engineering, Customer Service, MP&L, and Finance, to ensure seamless sales execution.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of industrial processes and provide technical support to prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with industrial customer accounts of varying sizes.
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline and sales forecasts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive issues, and product offerings.
  • Maintain excellent communication with management, customers, and support staff.
  • Actively participate in team building and company growth initiatives.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed to support sales efforts.
  • Contribute to the annual budget and quarterly forecast process for the assigned areas.
  • Take ownership of sales results for assigned areas/customers.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial sales, with a proven track record as a technical sales expert.
  • Strong knowledge of the sugar, cement, or related industries is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead diverse teams in an international environment.
  • Excellent marketing and sales strategy skills.
  • In-depth understanding of industrial processes relevant to our company’s off-highway segments/industries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Thai.
  • Extensive travel within the assigned territory is required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic multinational environment.
  • Independent and results-oriented with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and other relevant applications.
  • Experience in heavy industrial and bulk materials handling is a plus.
