Accounting Manager (FMCG)

Job Description:

Our client is a well-known multinational consumer product FMCG Company. The company is looking for Accounting Manager to lead Accounting daily operations and RTR processes covering Data Management, General Ledger Accounting, Close Processes, Assets Accounting, Statutory Reporting and Cost Accounting with highly collaborative with others across the globe in Finance and other functions to ensure key learning and best practices.

Report to: Head of Accounting Finance

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations, including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles, Improve systems, procedures, initiate corrective actions, establish and maintain fiscal files and records transactions
• Establishes financial status, developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information, managing accounting and managing the Record to Report team.
• Lead delivery of the RTR function for the BUs with the scope, KPIs, SLAs, lead and motivate the teams, timely submissions reports, ensure continuous improvement of processes, and absorbing new work from BUs into operations to deliver high quality/low cost services to BUs.
• Leads team to complete accounting activities which include Financial Reporting, P&L, expenses, allocations, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, financial close, full balance sheet review, Reporting Packages preparation and review, tax accounting and filing,
• IFRS and local GAAP compliance etc.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, provide variance analysis, financial performance result, as well as give recommendation in implementation and corrective actions.
• Partnership with Tax, Treasury, Decision Support, Financial Risk Management, internal and external auditors.
• Work closely with Regional and HQ process owners to executing financial accounting processes and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of finance organization.
• Driving the continuous improvement of finance activities; collaborating across business, functions, and enterprise.
• Align with internal control systems, reliable financial reporting; and compliance with laws, regulations and HQ policies.
• Completing the statutory/external audits and will be primarily contact point for external auditors.
• Champion efforts to ensure controls and compliance measures are in place for all reported financial information.
• Partners with other accounting and finance leads to ensure alignment of processes and strategies and work with other functions and business managers to ensure financial regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance or Accounting
• 10 year experience with at least 2 years in managerial level of Corporate Accounting, Finance, Audit Taxation or GL or related in
• FMCG, Retail, Ecommerce, Trading or enterprise corporate.
• Strong finance and accounting local and international standard of finance and accounting rules and regulations
• Strong understanding of accounting under GAAP and IFRS.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS office. Experience with SAP is preferred.
• Good command of English both written and spoken in business level is required
