Our client, a global leader in automotive parts manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join their team in Rayong. You will be a key business partner to management, leading the full spectrum of accounting strategy and operations in a manufacturing plant. Salary: ฿100,000 – ฿135,000 per month (plus allowances)
Key Responsibilities
- As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee and manage the entire accounting function, ensuring compliance with local and international standards. Your duties will include:
- Strategic Leadership: Manage strategic accounting initiatives and daily accounting operations. Lead a team of accounting staff to deliver a comprehensive accounting package, including high-level issue resolution for accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), general ledger (G/L), and fixed assets.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and finalize monthly financial statements, including P&L, P&L by customer, and costing analysis. Report on monthly financial operating results for management, such as operating income, balance sheets, and plant performance.
- Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure internal controls are in place to achieve effective control and comply with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act). Supervise daily operations to ensure the team and systems comply with both US GAAP and Local GAAP.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare, manage, and control monthly management reports, forecast reports, treasury reports, and the annual budget with detailed analysis.
- Tax Management: Verify all tax-related matters comply with the Thai Revenue Code. Manage the firm’s tax issues (VAT, CIT, and WHT) and prepare documents to secure tax returns. Prepare annual and half-year corporate income tax calculations, ensuring timely submission and compliance with tax treaties.
- Auditing & Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely financial reporting. Maintain all required information for the Board of Investment (BOI) on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within a manufacturing environment and possess excellent leadership skills.
- A bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting management experience, with at least 3-5 years in an Accounting Manager position.
- Extensive experience in an automotive or similar manufacturing environment is required.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, Thai GAAP, and SOX reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in cross-functional team coordination.
- Exceptional management and communication skills.
- Very good command of English.
